Shotgun

Shotgun drink recipe with Jim Bean, Jack Daniel's and Wild Turkey bourbon whiskey

Shotgun - "Songs are really just interesting things to do with the air." ~ Tom Waits

Shotgun – A blend of three whiskeys seemed like the only appropriate drink to commemorate Tom Waits being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.  A man whose voice has been described as sounding “like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car.”  Well, here’s a drink to help you on your way to sounding like Tom Waits…

Shotgun:

  • 1 part Jack Daniel’s
  • 1 part Jim Bean
  • 1 oz Wild Turkey

Drink Tip: Neat or on ice, whatever you can handle…

Royal Butt

Royal Butt drink recipe

Royal Butt is the drink but I have no idea what's going on here...

Royal Butt – OK, so the drink of the day is a Royal Butt and the book said it has something to do with the discovery of the planet Uranus and how it was named…but, for some reason when I saw the words “Royal Butt” the first thing that pops into my mind is a bunch of 18th century French aristocrats running around, partying and spanking the maids… hey, I’m not saying I’m into that sort of thing but that’s what came to mind.

Not a bad shot at all, I kinda like a bit of butterscotch flavor added to the whiskey, maybe Werthers should come out with some whiskey candy…

How to get your own Royal Butt:

  • ½ oz whiskey
  • ½ oz butterscotch liqueur

Drink Tip: Throw yourself a French aristocrat themed party, start pouring the shots and see what happens…

Tiger Blood

A winning Tiger Blood drink recipe that would even make Charlie Sheen proud!

There's no fear when you've got Tiger Blood!

Tiger Blood A winning Tiger Blood drink recipe that would make Charlie Sheen proud! I’m going off schedule for the next couple days or so and switching things up.  With his tiger blood and DNA of Adonis, the Sheen is a force that cannot be ignored so for the next week or so I’ll be creating drinks dedicated to the great quotes he’s been dropping on us.  A quick Google search and I found eight drink that have been created within the last week called Tiger Blood but non of them grabbed my interest so like a ninja assassin I decided to create one of my own… and it’s a pretty tasty one if I say so myself!

Tiger Blood drink recipe:

  • ½ oz Johnny Walker Red whiskey
  • ½ oz sloe gin
  • ½ oz cherry brandy
  • 3 oz cranberry juice
  • splash of grenadine

Drink Tip: Chill with ice in a shaker and strain… add a maraschino cherry if this is your first taste of the Tiger Blood!
