Boston Cocktail
Boston Cocktail – If you’ve been following this blog you may have noticed that in all the pics I’m almost always wearing my “drinking hat” (a brown flatcap) but since today drink according to the book is called a Boston Cocktail it gave me an excuse to switch things up and go with my Sox hat… that and a Red Sox pre-season game was on TV today and we don’t get many of those out here on the West coast so I take it when I can get it … unfortunately this drink tasted about as good as the Sox played… split-squad action saw one game tied 4-4 and the second game lost 11-2… but hey, it’s only pre-season…
Boston Cocktail:
- 3/4 oz gin
- 3/4 oz apricot brandy
- 1½ oz grenadine
- ½ oz lemon juice
Drink Tip: Since today is National Absinthe Day it probably would have been a better choice. The Boston Cocktail didn’t seem to bring the Sox luck anyway…
