In 2007 the United States lifted the ban on absinthe so now you can be like your favorite 19th century artists and/or poet and partake of the drink that is famously known to make you see little green fairies, go insane and cut off your own ears!

Absinthe is anise flavored so it tastes like black licorice… kinda like ouzo or sambuca.  But unlike toga wearing backpackers on some Greek island slammin’ back shots of cheap ouzo, absinthe is more about the whole preparation process and slow enjoyment.  It’s about sitting back, relaxing and sipping a good drink while having intelligent conversation with friends about past summers spent in the Greek islands like they were some meaningful cultural experience and not the alcohol fueled hedonistic debauchery that it really was…
