• 1/2 oz cherry brandy

Alleluia drink recipe:

• 1 1/2 oz tequila
• 1 tsp blue curacao
• 1 tsp cherry liqueur
• 1/2 oz lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp sugar
• 4 oz tonic water club soda… I hate tonic water!

Veteran drink recipe:

• 2 parts Dark Rum
• 1 part Cherry Brandy

• 1 oz Gin
• 2 oz Sweet & Sour Mix
• 1/2 oz Grenadine
• 4 oz Club Soda
• Cherry Brandy (mix drink then float the brandy)

Oscar Cocktail

Oscar Cocktail – Falling behind on my blog posts again so just trying to get caught up… yup, I drank it… a bit fruity but what do you expect with a drink commemorating Oscar Wilde? *wink*

Oscar Cocktail:

• 1 oz gin
• 1 oz vodka
• 3/4 oz cherry brandy
• 1 oz pineapple juice
• 1 oz orange soda
• splash of grenadine
• orange wedge
• maraschino cherry

Drink Tip: Chill it, fill it, and top off with fruit… gotta be secure in your manhood to order this up at a bar…

Florida Cocktail

Florida Cocktail – Commemorating  Ponce de León discovering Florida… which I guess means that nobody was living there before he arrived….?  Maybe a better description of this event would be today is the day that native Floridians discovered tourism!

Florida Cocktail:

• ½ oz gin
• 1½ tsp cherry brandy
• 1½ tsp triple sec
• 1 oz orange juice
• 1 tsp lemon juice

Drink Tip: Drink until you work up enough courage to call your grandparents down in Florida  and tell them they better have something good for you in their will because a $10 gift card to Sears every birthday is just wasting your time!

There's no fear when you've got Tiger Blood!

Tiger Blood – A winning Tiger Blood drink recipe that would make Charlie Sheen proud! I’m going off schedule for the next couple days or so and switching things up.  With his tiger blood and DNA of Adonis, the Sheen is a force that cannot be ignored so for the next week or so I’ll be creating drinks dedicated to the great quotes he’s been dropping on us.  A quick Google search and I found eight drink that have been created within the last week called Tiger Blood but non of them grabbed my interest so like a ninja assassin I decided to create one of my own… and it’s a pretty tasty one if I say so myself!

Tiger Blood drink recipe:

• ½ oz Johnny Walker Red whiskey
• ½ oz sloe gin
• ½ oz cherry brandy
• 3 oz cranberry juice
• splash of grenadine

Drink Tip: Chill with ice in a shaker and strain… add a maraschino cherry if this is your first taste of the Tiger Blood!

Make-Believe Cocktail

Make-Believe Cocktail – Don’t tell King Friday but we’ve got the Booze Trolley coming through the neighborhood today and me, Queen Sara Saturday and Lady Aberlin are heading over to X the Owl’s place to have ourselves a little party… if the old oak tree is a-rockin’ don’t come a-knockin’

Make-Believe Cocktail (had to play make-believe with some of the ingredients)

• 1 oz cherry liqueur cherry brandy
• 1/2 oz light rum
• 1/4 oz framboise liqueur black raspberry liqueur
• 1/4 oz pineapple juice
• 1 mint leaf chew a stick of gum

Drink Tip: Change your shoes, throw on an old cardigan sweater and just kick back, relax and enjoy this one…

Margarita

Margarita – Today is National Margarita Day! It’s a holiday so you have no excuse not to drink today… it’s practically required!  I decided to to another taste test and made up five different margaritas (on the rocks, frozen, green, blue and red)…

Margarita:

• ½ oz tequila
• ¾ oz Triple Sec
• splash of sour mix
• splash of lime juice
• Blue – added a shot of Blue Curacao
• Green – added a shot of Melon liqueur
• Red – added a shot of cherry brandy and a splash of grenadine

Drink Tip: You can drink it on the rock or for a frozen margarita, toss it in a blender with some ice…
