Passionfruit Caprioska

Still in Tonga on the main island of Tongatapu so I headed over to a local bar in Nuku’alofa called Reload for my drink of the day. I love the bar’s non-committal slogan “probably the best bar in Tonga“… they think they’re pretty good but don’t want to overstate or mislead anybody so “we’re probably the best bar but maybe we’re not…”

Making this easy so I have a blended pre-made Passionfruit Caprioska, not bad, it is what it is… ya know, probably the best drink in the house… or not… just sayin’… Like yesterday’s drink this is also imported from New Zealand BUY HERE

Passionfruit Caprioska ingredients:

• Premium New Zealand Vodka
• Passionfruit Juice
• Lemon Juice
• Lime Juice

Drink Tip: A pre-mix is fine in a pinch but it doesn’t hurt to add a little something extra of your own…

I don’t know about the gods but this drink is so fruity and colorful you’d think it was pissed out by an army of Care Bares led by Rainbow Brite!  OK, now that my manliness has already been called into question by revealing that fact that I’m familiar with cartoons and girly toys from the 80’s I have to admit… I kinda liked this drink.  I won’t be ordering this while watching a game at the bar but, ya know… a tropical setting, palm trees, waves crashing… this drink and I may be seeing each other again… and hey, check out the ingredients, this baby has got some kick!

How to mix this bitch up:

• Peach Schnapps
• Rum
• Triple Sec
• Vodka
• Pineapple Juice
• Grenadine
  (combine all the ingredients and give it a good thrashing in an ice shaker)

Drink Tip: Manly drinks are defined by their simplicity not their alcohol content… this drink has got way too much going on so if you’re a guy and you gotta have it – get yourself a flask.
