Terminator – Today, April 19, 2011, Skynet went online… two days from now the machines will become self-aware and Judgment Day will begin. So kick back, relax and mix yourself up a drink and toast the end of civilization as we know it.
How to build your own Terminator:
- 1/2 oz Kahlua
- 1/2 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 1/2 oz Melon liqueur
- 1/2 oz Ouzo (or Sambuca)
- 1/2 oz Vodka
(the instructions say to layer each ingredient… I just mixed it up in a shaker with ice)
Drink Tip: A really tasty drink… Enjoy and I’ll be back tomorrow with another drink (and the day after that if I survive the nuclear holocaust)!

7 Deadly Sins
7 Deadly Sins – Oh yeah, I like this… the drink ain’t bad either! There are six ingredients in this… they say the seventh sin is drinking it but I have to disagree, I say it would be a sin to waste! This is a pretty good shot, got a real kick but the Baily’s and Kahlua makes it go down smooth…
How to commit 7 Deadly Sins:
- 1/3 oz grenadine
- 1/3 oz Kahlua
- 1/3 oz Blue Curacao
- 1/3 oz Sambuca (I used Ouzo… same diff)
- 1/3 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 1/3 oz Southern Comfort
Drink Tip: They say you’re supposed to use a spoon and layer the shot but as you can see from the photo, I didn’t bother… is laziness one of the 7 deadly sins?

Bitch On Wheels – Whoa! This drink is something nasty! Maybe I’m just not a fan of crème de menthe but this drink tasted like a mix of mouth wash and NyQuil… I guess that’s the point… this drink will make you as miserable as a bitch on wheels!
Bith On Wheels:
- 2 oz gin
- 1/2 oz dry vermouth
- 1/2 oz white crème de menthe (I used green)
- 1 tsp licorice liqueur (I used Ouzo)
Drink Tip: Don’t

Adonis DNA – The gods on Mount Olympus have sent a love potion recipe down to us mere mortal men. Even the most troll like creature will be looking like an Adonis after you get your lady to knock back a few of these tasty beverages…. nectar of the gods mixed with the fire of hades!
Adonis DNA recipe:
- ½ oz ouzo
- ½ oz tequila
- 3 oz passion-fruit juice
Drink Tip: Mix and chill in an ice shaker and strain into a martini glass… garnish with a strawberry but save the whip cream for later *wink*!

Hemingway – What can I say about Hemingway that hasn’t already been said more eloquently? I don’t envy some of the hardships and tragedies he endured but I do admire his brilliance and the way he chose to live his life.
Little bit of a change-up… for the licorice liqueur I used Ouzo instead of Pernod like the drink recipe called for so I’m calling this drink a Greek Hemingway. Those crazy Greeks drink Ouzo like water… I was drinking that stuff for breakfast over there…
Hemingway:
- 3/4 oz licorice liqueur
- 4 oz Champagne
Drink Tip: Follow the directions – I didn’t. I just grabbed the bottles of ouzo and champagne and just started pouring both into a glass at the same time so I ended up with an 50/50 mix… that’s about 3 oz of ouzo instead of just 3/4 of an ounce. First sip and I realized my mistake… that was one potent drink!
