Chimay – Beer in a cork bottle… so for the photo I was just “pretending” to be popping the cork; I say pretending because as the pictures were being taken I mistakenly popped the cork and send beer spraying all over the room… oops…

Blue Malibu

Blue Malibu, it’s more than the color of a cool car…

• Malibu Rum
• Blue Curacao
• Pineapple Juice

Drink Tip: If your Blue Malibu turns green then you know you’ve added too much pineapple juice…

Kava

Although not technical an alcoholic drink Kava definitely has some affect!  Like alcohol it’s a social lubricant.. your first drink and your mouth and throat gets a bit numb and tingly… a few more… and well, you’ll just have to try it for yourself!

Mango Cypritini

OK, getting really creative with this one… I’m up on the island of Vava’u now and staying with a Tongan family for the next few days so my resources are limited but I found some fruit juice to mix with vodka I brought with me for the drink of the day.

Mango Cypritini ingredients:

• Vodka
• Mango Cyprina (mango, apple & orange juice)

Drink Tip: Don’t do it unless you have to… vodka was a poor choice for a mixer with this juice…

Passionfruit Caprioska

Still in Tonga on the main island of Tongatapu so I headed over to a local bar in Nuku’alofa called Reload for my drink of the day. I love the bar’s non-committal slogan “probably the best bar in Tonga“… they think they’re pretty good but don’t want to overstate or mislead anybody so “we’re probably the best bar but maybe we’re not…”

Making this easy so I have a blended pre-made Passionfruit Caprioska, not bad, it is what it is… ya know, probably the best drink in the house… or not… just sayin’… Like yesterday’s drink this is also imported from New Zealand BUY HERE

Passionfruit Caprioska ingredients:

• Premium New Zealand Vodka
• Passionfruit Juice
• Lemon Juice
• Lime Juice

Drink Tip: A pre-mix is fine in a pinch but it doesn’t hurt to add a little something extra of your own…
